Cast resin head and hands for a 1/6 scale sixteenth century-style doll sculpted by Michael Perry for The Tudor Tailor. The doll is designed to look like Tudor and Elizabethan examples and was originally made for the reconstruction included in our book The Tudor Child: Clothing & Culture 1485 to 1625. The pattern for the 29cm (11 1/2 inch) high doll can be found in the book and a complete kit is also available in our shop.

The design of the doll head and hands is based on several sources including:

- Doll held by Catharina van Warmondt (1596), Isaac Claesz van Swanenburg, Museum Meermanno-Westreenianum, The Hague, Netherlands, inventory number 16/31
- Doll held by Arabella Stuart aged nearly two (1577), artist unknown, Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire
- Fashion doll, c1585 to 1590, Livrustkammaren, Stockholm, Sweden, inventory number 77 (56:15) 260
- Doll held by Herzogin Marie von Sachsen als Kind (1564), Lucas Cranach the Younger, private collection

Set includes one 1/6 scale head and one pair of matching hands in cast resin with basic painting instructions. Supplied unpainted.

Please note, this listing is only for the head and hands, not the hair or other materials needed to create an entire doll. The photo showing a completed doll is included only as an example of how the doll parts may be used.
